Dr. KaNisha Hall is a physician with an extensive background in counseling. Her services include a focus on stress reduction, self-care, sexuality, behavioral analysis, preventative wellness and a comprehensive care for anxiety and depression. Dr. KaNisha is also an author who has received outstanding reviews on her book “Sex After” which is a woman’s guide to empowered and enhanced sexual experiences in the evolution of life. Known to be a very colorful speaker, panelist, host and commentator, Dr. KaNisha can not only draw a crowd, but she commands the attention of any audience. She is also the proud mother of a 4 year-old daughter.
Dr. April Givens
Dr. April Givens is a licensed psychotherapist, herbalist, and biologist with a PhD in counseling and human services. She also holds a masters in mental health counseling and a bachelors of science degree in Biology/Pre-medicine. Dr. April has been providing counseling to clients in the state of Texas for over 8 years. She has been a court advocate working with the court system to advocate for clients. She has also worked in many managed care behavioral health agencies before going into private practice. Dr. April is also an Army veteran having served 8 years. She is the mother of two amazing children. She has been featured in Voyage Dallas magazine, ShoutoutDFW, and appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Network's show 'Family or Fiance'. Dr. April enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Tomekia Manning
Dr. Tomekia Manning, creator of The Chamber Talk Show, has an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management. Her extended background and certifications in education have led to several leadership roles in schools including English Department Chair, Testing Coordinator, Pod leader, Teacher of the Year, and high school Assistant Principal in the Dallas Independent School District. In addition, she has three masters’ degrees between two universities-the University of Texas, Dallas and Prairie View A&M University. Those degrees were awarded in English/Humanities with a focus on Literature, Educational Leadership and Counseling.
Dr. Tomekia is currently a high school assistant principal in Dallas ISD.
In addition, she is also an Adjunct English instructor at El Centro Community College where she teaches introductory English courses. Before venturing into education, Tomekia spent seven years as an anchor/reporter for NBC News in the Shreveport/Texarkana market. Her role as a journalist included work as a radio talk and gospel show host for KTOY Radio (104.7). She also hosted weekly community talk segments at KTAL-TV television and speaking engagements for local youth, churches, schools and other community-oriented events.
Dr. Tomekia has a passion for empowering women by hosting motivational speaking events that push them to reach their full potential in life. The goal is to help with self-reflection and discovery to help determine passion and purpose. These events are also precursors for this major project to impact society globally. The programming is designed to provide practical life applications for guests impacted by social and emotional setbacks.
Tomekia is also a certified personal fitness trainer who seeks to work with women on all levels. The goal is to help boost their self-esteem and overall health.
Dr. Tamara Cannon
Dr. Tamara Cannon is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified health and wellness coach. She is currently the Wellness Director at Dallas based psychology practice, Wellness 360. Her empathetic, compassionate, strength-focused approach is critical to supporting clients as they work to conquer life challenges and commit to a life of continuous growth. She helps clients navigate through depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, adjustment difficulties, career stress and relationship issues. Dr. Cannon has a special interest in promoting wellness through healthy lifestyle choices such as fitness and nutrition. She works tirelessly to help her clients achieve wellness by breaking through blind spots, unhealthy patterns, and making positive healthy choices.
After graduating from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Dr. Cannon was awarded a Southern Regional Education Board Doctoral Scholars Fellowship, which provided a full academic scholarship to attend the top-ranked Doctor of Philosophy Program at the University of Virginia. Following graduation and a successful defense of her dissertation, she entered the workforce as a clinical sales consultant with Pfizer, Inc. She enjoyed a successful five-year award-winning career in pharmaceuticals. Dr. Cannon has since been committed to serving her life’s purpose as a clinical psychologist.
Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Cannon lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with her husband of 12 years and their two beautiful daughters. She is a self-proclaimed foodie and has a knack for cooking Cajun/Creole foods. She relishes in doing yoga and enjoys running and training for various races, ranging from 5Ks to half-marathons. Dr. Cannon understands the importance of giving back to those who are less fortunate. She serves on the board of Choose to Love, Inc. which provides assistance for children of low-income and marginalized communities to achieve their full health and wellness potential. She is also an active member of multiple organizations that provide community service on a local and national level.
